Tour Guide

Welcome to the 5th Annual Parade of Ponds! We are excited to feature many beautiful ponds & waterscapes on this year's tour. It is evident that the owners take great pride in their gardens.

During the hours of 9 am - 3 pm on Saturday, June 26th (event will be held rain or shine) waterscapes will be available for viewing. The owners have graciously agreed to let us visit their properties and they only ask that every precaution be taken to avoid any damage to their landscaping. As a courtesy to these homeowners, please observe these hours. Also remember the majority of these stops are residences. Please let them know you appreciate their kindness, and please remember to respect their privacy. Please do not knock on doors or ask to tour their homes. Please stay on walkways, do not disturb their plants, fish, or landscapes in any way. Please do not allow your children to throw stones into the ponds, or tease the fish in any way.

A special feature of the Parade of Ponds is the availability of the owners on the day of the walk.  They can answer questions and share their pond's story. Water feature descriptions and directions are listed in the tour guide.

Two versions of the tour guides are available. If purchasing admissions at one of our ticket outlets, a 36 page detailed booklet is included.  If you prefer to download and print a shortened version a copy will be available on the Family Centers website after June 1. Please note that you must purchase a wristband.  The tour guide alone does not serve as your admission.

Pond walk tour locations will be listed on this page by April 1.

Previous tours have featured various types of ponds, waterfalls, streams, fountains, and rainwater harvesting. Spend your day meandering through unique floral gardens and visiting with the homeowners.
